Governance Is Stewardship. Full Stop.

Governance is more than administration, and stewardship is more than fundraising. In this reflection, our founder explains why nonprofit governance is fundamentally the work of protecting what has been entrusted to an organization: its mission, the people it serves, and the resources that make its work possible.

The insight shows how stewardship becomes real through structure, authority, oversight, and everyday decisions. It reframes the central governance question from simply making the “right” decision to asking whether a decision strengthens or weakens the organization’s ability to protect what it exists to serve.
